Welcome to picopico.org! Named after the Visual Kei sub-scene, this website is some messed up cross between a personal website and a fansite and (hopefully) also promotes the genre.

Picopico (often romanised as pikopiko) is a type of Visual Kei all about electronic and gamey sounds in the music. It's my favourite kind of Visual Kei.

However, in the humble webmaster's opinion, picopico is more than this... there are other artists that you could maybe describe as "techno-pop" or any other words that also fit under this genre label. It's a scene that reaches outside of Visual Kei if you look hard enough.

Release news!

  • Pinokiwo's first album RECORD will be released on Christmas 2024. All signs show that it will be on streaming services, too. Although in my opinion that detracts from the disc-and-illegal-files-only charm Pinokiwo has.

    There are four different mail order bonuses depending on where you preorder the CD, but it's sold out at Tower Records. Lucky for me I managed to snag a copy before that happened, and I'll use that keychain with pride.

My current biggest want... is the FLOPPY discography on CD, especially the newest single released on their 20th anniversary.
